Description:
Drivers Ed class will meet via zoom from 3-6pm. Your zoom information will be emailed to you upon registration.
The first part of our Driver Education process is a 30 hour class. We will focus on road rage, cell phone laws, road signs, impaired driving with drunk goggles, and antilock braking systems just to name a few. You have to be at least 14 1/2 to take the classroom portion and 15 years old to take the permit test. NOTE: Make up lessons can be completed in any North Branch Area Community Education class or go to the Forest Lake location.
After passing the permit test, students will need to start the behind-the-wheel phase. Students are required to complete six hours of behind-the-wheel. The lesson is provided in three two-hour sessions with a licensed instructor from the Department of Public Safety. The student will be picked up and dropped off at their home or North Branch Area High School. Detailed information about behind-the-wheel will be provided at class.
