Description:
The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Learn the responsibilities of being a prepared, safe, responsible, and professional babysitter. Topics include starting your own babysitting business, child development, behavior guidance, supervision, proper feeding and diapering techniques, personal safety, medical emergencies, basic first aid care, and fire safety. The instructor provides baby dolls, bottles, diaper supplies for hands-on participation skills. The course is developed by the American Safety and Health Institute and approved by the American Pediatrics Association. Class participants receive a CABS book and ASHI certification card. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child.

If you are registering for Child and Babysitting Safety and Home Alone classes you may bring a bag lunch and drink to eat with the instructor during the break between the two classes.
