Description:
This entry level class is designed to introduce the classic techniques of hand-sewing with leather. Students are able to choose from projects that demonstrate the basics of working with leather including cutting, punching, hand-sewing, riveting, snap setting, finishing and care. Students will be guided through the process from hide to finished product - leaving the class with their very own handmade leather good. Students will be able to choose 2 projects from a wide assortment of projects and leather at the beginning of class, including: clutches, belts, coin purses, wallets, fieldnotes covers, phone cases, key-chains, sunglass cases and more. No previous experience with any type of craft or sewing is required. Material fee of $20 payable to instructor at class.
