Synchronized swimming combines the grace of a dancer, the flexibility of a gymnast and diver with the water skills of a swimmer. This beginning club will introduce the skills of sculling, novice figure positions, and teamwork in the form of duets, trios and 4-8 member teams. During the course, participants will develop and work on flexibility, muscle strength and memorizing a routine set to music! We will have a show at the end to present the skills learned. This is a high school sport in many schools, and now an opportunity for our community. Requirements for this class is to be able to swim 300 yards and be able to tread water for 3 minutes.
