Description:
Learn the responsibilities of being a prepared, safe, responsible and professional babysitter. Topics include starting your own babysitting business, child development, behavior guidance, supervision, proper feeding and diapering techniques, personal safety, medical emergencies, basic first aid care and fire safety. Students receive a Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) book and will demonstrate required knowledge and skill objectives for the ASHI approved Child and Babysitting Safety certification card. Instructor provides baby dolls, bottles, diaper supplies for skills participation. The course is developed by the American Safety and Health Institute and approved by the American Pediatrics Association. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take home information and discuss it with their child.
